  • Sick Meal Requests can now be submited online!
    Dinning Services is now making it more convenient to request a Sick Meal Package through their online Sick Meal Request Form. Requests will cover one meal period and will be available for pick-up at the Lothian and A-I Residential Restaurants. Meals can be picked up from the Residential Restaurant cashier during regular meal hours.
  • Could I have H1N1 flu (swine flu)?
    Use the Flu Self-Assessment to learn whether you have the symptoms of H1N1 flu (swine flu). The tool will also help you decide what to do next.
  • Campus Health Center distributes entire stock of Seasonal flu vaccine
    The Campus Health Center has exhausted their stock of seasonal flu vaccinations In record time this year. Since the beginning of October the CHC has conducted student Flu Shot Clinics at various locations throughout the campus and have dispersed their entire allotment of seasonal flu vaccine. All future Flu Shot Clinics have been cancelled due to availability
  • Public Health Action Plan presented to the Chancellor
    On Monday, September 28th, Gretchen Bolar, Chair of the UCR Public Health Planning Steering Committee, delivered a presentation at the Chancellor’s Cabinet Meeting which included the current draft version of the Public Health Action Plan, and an update on campus preparedness activities related to the H1N1 virus. Additionally, invited guest Dr. Eric Frykman, Riverside County’s Public Health Officer, was on hand to speak about the solid partnership that UCR and the Riverside County Department of Public Health has built, his impressions of the draft plan, and to answer any questions from those present regarding Riverside County’s guidance for the H1N1 virus.   • People with H1N1 flu are contagious for 7 days
    Once infected, people can be infectious for up to three days before exhibiting any symptoms, and symptoms usually persist for three to four days. Younger children (<10 years old) may be contagious for a longer period, up to ten days. Anyone who continues to exhibit symptoms for longer than 7 days after illness onset should seek medical attention. Read more >>
  • H1N1 Flu Vaccinations now available from the Campus Health Center
    The Campus Health Center has received H1N1 vaccinations and will be conducting Flu Shot Clinics at various campus locations beginning Friday, November 6th. Flu Shot Clinic locations and hours are posted on the Campus Health Center Website.
  • Health Care workers trained on N95 Respirators
    Campus Health Center staff have been trained on the use of N95 respirators. They are being asked to follow the Cal/OSHA standard during patient care. Surgical masks, gloves, and eye protection are advised for those employees who may have contact with ill students. Read more >>
