Housing Safety

The following materials are provided for UCR Housing employees with explanations and suggestions on how best to include them into health and safety programs. A short explanation for some of these items is included below:

Safety Job Hazard Analyses (JHA's)

A job hazard analysis is a technique that focuses on job tasks as a way to identify hazards before they occur. It focuses on the relationship between the worker, the task, the tools, and the work environment. Ideally, after you identify uncontrolled hazards, you will take steps to eliminate or reduce them to an acceptable risk level.

"Safety Keys"

The following items are best used  during new-employee orientation and as review during crew safety meetings as 15 minute "In-Service" interactive discussion,  training session talking points.
