Course Description
Food Safety
Principles of safe preparation, handling and storage of food. This course is required to obtain a permit for serving food on campus. Topics include: Foodborne illnesses and risks; Proper preparation, handling, and storage of food; Good hygiene practices; and procedures for obtaining a Food Permit. Includes hands-on use of a fire extinguisher.
