Overview of ergonomics and how understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and applying that understanding to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance. Topics include:  basic information needed to recognize and report musculoskeletal disorder (MSD);  signs, symptoms, and risk factors of MSD; key components of an ergonomics program; information to minimize the risk of developing work-related MSDs; workstation assessment; office ergonomics best practices; proper workstation set-up; and healthy work habits.

  2. Go to the URL http://ucrlearning.ucr.edu
  3. Login using your UCR NetID and password

The system could not locate my account.

  1. Enter the word "ergonomics" into the Search box
    (on the left side), and click on "Go" 
  2. Click on the "Ergonomics in the Workplace" title,
    and select "Register
  3. Verify that the box is checked next to eCourse, and click on "Submit"

When you're ready to begin the course, click on "Start" next to the eCourse listing. You can pick up where you left off at anytime.
